Revelation 20
...after that he must be loosed a little season.
...after that he must be loosed a little season.
At Little Season Ministries, we are dedicated to spreading the truth of this new theology. Our mission is to serve the community and nurture spiritual growth in every individual.
Chorus
“God said it and I believe it and that settles it for me God said it and I believe it and that settles it for me
Though some may doubt that His word is true I've chosen to believe it, now how about you?
God said it and I believe it And that settles it for me”
Years later that song still plays in the back of my mind as I continually search scripture and seek truth and pray for wisdom. The number one question I receive is: “Prove that Christ returned!” Where is it in the Bible, Where did he said he returned?
The chorus rings true over and over… ”God said it, I believe it. That settles it for me”
My friends, the material here is only to spread the continual good news of His kingdom and where we are in the timeline. Open your heart to God and believe Him at his word!
The phrase “the little season” refers to the period of time just after the 1000-Year Millennial reign of Christ. Take a look here in Revelation 20: 1-3 “And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, and cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.”
Chapter 20 begins with Satan being bound by an Angel and cast into the abyss, sometimes called the bottomless pit. The Abyss is the prison where he was kept for a 1000 years, which is also the period of time when the millennial reign of Christ took place.
Later in Revelation we read that after this 1000 years of Christs reign, God allows Satan to be released into the world to deceive the nations.
“And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea.”
Revelation 20:7-8
This period of time is recorded in the Bible as a little season. This is now, loosely being calling, little season eschatology.
The concept of the Millennial Kingdom, often drawn from the book of Revelation (specifically Revelation 20:1-6), presents a unique interpretation of Christ’s reign on Earth. In this view, the Millennial Kingdom began around 70 A.D., coinciding with significant historical events such as the destruction of the Jerusalem Temple and the establishment of the early Church.
This period is characterized by the belief that Christ's heavenly kingdom came down to Earth at His second coming around 70 A.D., marking the beginning of His reign among believers. During this time, the faithful experience a spiritual reign of peace, righteousness, and fulfillment, signifying a triumph over evil and sin. Revelation 20:2 states that during this period, Satan was bound, preventing him from deceiving the nations, which allowed for the flourishing of Christ's message and the growth of Christianity. The Millennial Kingdom is often described as lasting for a literal 1,000 years, during which Christ's influence profoundly shapes the lives of believers.
Additional scriptural references support this understanding of the Millennial Kingdom. For instance, Isaiah 2:2-4 envisions a time when nations will come to the mountain of the Lord, seeking His guidance and living in peace. Furthermore, passages like Matthew 28:18-20 highlight Christ’s authority over Heaven and Earth, reinforcing the idea of His reign during this transformative period.
A notable aspect of this interpretation is the re-evaluation of historical periods; the so-called "Dark Ages," often viewed as a time of ignorance and decline, are reinterpreted by some as the "Golden Ages." During this time, the foundations of Christian thought, art, and culture flourished despite societal challenges. This perspective emphasizes the unseen work of God in preserving and advancing the faith, leading to the eventual resurgence of knowledge and enlightenment in later centuries.
Additionally, some proponents of the Millennial Kingdom theory point to the existence of Tartarian buildings as evidence of this era. These grand and often ornate structures, found in various locations around the world, are seen by some as remnants of a time when Christ’s influence was at its peak, showcasing the architectural and cultural advancements that occurred during the Millennial Kingdom.
In this framework, the Millennial Kingdom serves not only as a historical period but also as a theological lens through which believers can understand God’s sovereignty and the unfolding of His divine plan throughout history. By recognizing the Millennial Kingdom's inception around 70 A.D. and its lasting impact, one can appreciate the transformative power of Christ’s reign, the binding of Satan, and the legacy of faith that has persisted through the ages.
